Exactly what I needed...

I AM WITH YOU AND FOR YOU. When you decide on a course of action that is in line with My will, nothing in heaven or on earth can stop you. You may encounter many obstacles as you move toward your goal, but don't be discouraged-never give up! With my help, you can overcome any obstacle. Do no expect an easy path as you journey hand in hand with Me, but do remember that I, your very-present Helper, am omnipotent.

Much, much stress results from your wanting to make things happen before their times have come. One of the main ways I assert My sovereignty is in the timing of events. If you want to stay close to Me and do things My way, ask me to show you the path forward moment by moment. Instead of dashing headlong toward your goal, let Me set the pace. Slow down, and enjoy the journey in My Presence.

Lord, don't let my words be empty

When I say… “I am a Christian”
I’m not shouting “I’m clean livin’”
I’m whispering “I was lost,
Now I’m found and forgiven.”

When I say… “I am a Christian”
I don’t speak of this pride.
I’m confessing that I stumble
And need Christ to be my guide.

When I say… “I am a Christian”
I’m not trying to be strong.
I’m professing that I’m weak
And need His strength to carry on.

When I say… “I am a Christian”
I’m not bragging of success.
I’m admitting I have failed
And need God to clean my mess.

When I say… “I am a Christian”
I’m not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
But, God believes I’m worth it.

When I say… “I am a Christian”
I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.

I’m not holier than thou,
I’m just a simple sinner
Who received God’s grace, somehow!

A Prayer of Knots

Dear God,

Please untie the knots that are in my mind, my heart, and my life.

Remove the have nots, can nots, and do nots, that I have in my mind.

Erase the will nots, may nots, and might nots, that may find a home in my heart.

Release me from the could nots, would nots, and should nots, that obstruct my life.

And most of all..

Father, please remove from my mind, my heart, and my life,

all the 'am nots' that I have allowed to hold me back...

especially the thought that I am not good enough.

Give my Your truth to never forget-

I am Yours.

I love you.

Forever and ever.
