Jesus & Coffee

Today, my Sunday morning was a bit different than usual. I spent it with the beautiful Elli Jane and Charles Stanley. Instead of getting all dressed up and heading to church this morning, Elli and I drank delicious coffee, in our wool socks and pj's and watch Charles Stanley's Sunday morning podcast, in our dorm. The title of his message this morning was "Seek Him." The title alone got my full-on attention. I have been striving everyday, all day, to seek the Lord in everything I do & knowledge is power, so needless to say, I was ALL ears! There was so many questions he asked that got me thinking deeper and deeper.

Where is God in your life?

Is He one of many or the one and only?

Why should we seek Him?

Why should believers seek Him?

Why should non-believers seek Him?

Where is God in your vocabulary?

What are you the hungriest for today?

What are you diligent about?

Do you treasure Him most? above all?

So much to think about Charles!!

Taking a step back and saying- OK God, what are you saying to me??

If I am seeking the Lord I will want to go further in my relationship with Him, I will want to know Him better, more deeply, more intimately, than ever before. He desires for me to seek Him!

The more satisfied I become with Him, the more dissatisfied I become.

I will hunger for Him more, I will thirst for His living water.

God never wants us to become satisfied.

We have to keep seeking Him DAILY because in Isaiah 59 the Bible tells us that our iniquities separate us from him & in Romans Ch 1 we know that our hearts begin to harden with out seeking Him.

GET CONCERNED ABOUT HIM.

I want to seek Him so intimately and so passionately so He will continuously reveal to me who He is, and I will always trust Him in every area of my life.

I want to observe how He works..search..seek..& listen, WITH ALL OF MY HEART..

He is fathomless.

Hosanna in the Highest.

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."

-Jeremiah 29:11-13

Whatever is #1 ahead of God in your life- whatever you put before Him-

you will eventually either lose it, hurt it, or it will destroy you.

seek Him CONTINUALLY

seek Him CONFIDENTLY

seek Him HUMBLY
seek Him DILIGENTLY

seek Him WITH ALL YOUR HEART

Seek Him because HE is seeking US.

Be available for Him to show up.

You will be eternally grateful that He put up with you and was so patient for you:)

He is willing to guide us, HE IS FOR US.

My beautiful, heavenly Father,

I ask that you would help me to trust you & your ways, not my own. Help me to acknowledge you in every area of my life. If I have shut you out of any part of my life, please reveal it to me, so I can ask you to reign there. Love you with all my heart. Thank you for accepting me when I am so unacceptable.

Your daughter,
Lexi
