Living in the Enemy's Camp

News flash.
Our mind is a battlefield.
Whether it is clouding our minds, filling us with pain, hopeless love, anger, or addiction,
the enemy can turn us against ourselves by all of it.
The enemy can even send people in our lives who abuse, torment, and hurt us, to shake us.
The enemy will do anything in his power to hold us hostage, to keep us from running, to keep
us from escaping his camp.

News flash.
Satan is real and hates all that God loves.
Which includes YOU, because God loves you.
When we seek Christ with all our heart and start making changes in our lives,
he will attack.
We must be prepared and have the weapons to fight back.

"Be strong in the Lord and His mighty power. Put on the full armour of God."
-Eph. 6:10
I found myself dancing with temptation the other night and it wasn't until I put on the full armour of God that I didn't feel like I was playing tug-a-war with a sumo wrestler.
When I was fighting with all my strength to overcome that voice in my head, I could picture myself playing tug-a-war with the devil, and rock bottom was that nasty mud pit that the loser always falls into.
I lost many times.
I still lose, I've had many muddy days. We all have.
However, many can change to few, when we our on the lookout for our enemy's next attack and we are dressed in head to toe with the armour of our POWERFUL living God.
In Luke 4:1-12, Jesus resisted Satan with the power of the word of God.
It was imprinted on His heart.
Exactly why it is so important to commit to God's word, in our minds and heart,
so that we don't have to fight in our own strength.
Alone we will lose.

"Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
-James 4:7

Train yourself to be godly, obey the word, and rise above your nature, demonstrating your renewal so that others may wish to follow your example. Imprint HIS word on your heart and MAKE WAR.
